Our Cambodia Project Team recently went to Cambodia to work with the Cambodia YMCA and their Street Children’s Project as well as provide them with Digital Arts Technology Training. We took five staff and two college age youth on the trip as well as the Director of the Long Beach Public Library and the Librarian at the Mark Twain Library to purchase Khmer Books for their library. See photos of the trip below. Also see detailed photo captions on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/YMCACambodiaProject.

Sunny and Phyras went back to Phnom Penh, Cambodia earlier this May to train their YMCA Staff and members on Youth Development and Digital Media Arts. Our goal was that they use and take advantage of the information and skills we have given them to help build their growing YMCA program so they can better create a safe and welcoming environment for their community! Also we raised over 300 dollars in Long Beach, CA to donate to the Street Children Project! We bought supplies and snacks to keep their schools stocked and running! We are happy to be here and can’t wait to come back and continue collaborating with our fellow Cambodians on this journey! Check out the pictures below!
We were recently featured at the PBS Vital Link DMA event in April. Leo and Ron shared information about the Cambodia Journey documentary. They were asked questions like what was the experience like? How do you create a documentary? How did you connect with the community? Take a look a few of the photos taken at the event.
